Almonte

Almonte is an unincorporated neighborhood near Mill Valley tucked behind Tamalpais High School and nestled between Homestead and Tam Valley. Visit the Almonte page to find out more about their Neighborhood Response Group.

Alto Sutton

Alto Sutton, known locally as Horse Hill, has an active Neighborhood Response Group, and is also a Firewise Community. This page includes all of Alto Sutton (both in and outside City limits). Visit the Alto NRG page to find out more.

Mill Valley has an expanding network of Neighborhood Response Groups (NRG) across the City. This page has information specific to groups within the City of Mill Valley.

Homestead Valley

Homestead Valley is an unincorporated community of about 1100 homes located between the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and the City of Mill Valley, with a Firewise designation. This community is well versed in wildfire safety and prevention and is always looking for ways to support existing volunteer efforts through Neighborhood Response Groups.​

Sausalito

Sausalito is just getting started! There are a small number of individual Block Captains across Sausalito, and through partnerships with groups like Sausalito Village, we're excited to see the program expand. Stay tuned for updated maps!

Strawberry

Strawberry is an unincorporated community of 5,600 people that is situated between Mill Valley and Tiburon. The area currently has a few block captains and we are actively recruiting more. If you are interested in getting started in your neighborhood, please reach out to the Southern Marin NRG Coordinator.

Tam Valley

Tam Valley has 15 Neighborhood Response Groups defined by Mutual Threat Zones, topography, neighborhood layout, and the Tamalpais Community Services District.

Tiburon

Southern Marin includes an area of the town of Tiburon, nestled between Strawberry and the greater town of Tiburon. The area currently has a few block captains and we are actively recruiting more. If you are interested in getting started in your neighborhood, please reach out to the Southern Marin NRG Coordinator.
